vCDN Service Terms – Content Delivery Network

PART I - PURPOSE AND SCOPE

Article 1. Purpose and scope of application

1.1. These terms apply to the HiTechCloud vCDN service (Content Delivery Network – the “Service”), a global content delivery network that accelerates the loading of static and dynamic content for the Customer's websites, applications, video and file downloads.

Article 2. Definitions

  • “PoP” – point of presence: a CDN location near end users that caches content;
  • “Origin”: the Customer's origin server from which vCDN pulls content;
  • “Cache Hit/Miss”: the ratio of content served from cache versus pulled from origin;
  • “Edge Function”: logic that runs at the PoP to transform requests and responses.

PART II - SERVICE DESCRIPTION AND CONFIGURATION

Article 3. Service and product description

3.1. The service includes:

  • A multi-country PoP network: Vietnam (HCMC, Hanoi, Da Nang), Southeast Asia (SG, BKK, KL, JKT, MNL), East Asia (HK, TYO, SEL), North America and Europe;
  • Protocols: HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2, HTTP/3 (QUIC); IPv4 and IPv6;
  • Cache policy: TTL theo file extension/path/header; cache purge instant; pre-fetch;
  • TLS termination at the edge, supporting Let's Encrypt and custom SSL;
  • Image optimization (resizing, WebP/AVIF format conversion), HLS/DASH video streaming with optional DRM;
  • Edge Function (JavaScript/WebAssembly) cho A/B test, redirect, header rewrite;
  • Basic WAF: OWASP Core Rule Set; rate limiting; bot management.

Article 4. Configurations, plans, and service levels

4.1. Service plans:

  • PAY-AS-YOU-GO: charged on actual traffic (GB) plus request count, with no commitment;
  • COMMIT: a monthly traffic commitment at a 30-50% lower unit price;
  • ENTERPRISE: a high SLA, dedicated edge capacity and solution engineer support.

4.2. Optional delivery regions: Vietnam, ASEAN, Asia and global.

4.3. HiTechCloud Anti-DDoS L3/L4 is included by default (File 100).

PART III - COMMITMENTS AND SUPPORT

Article 5. Service level agreement (SLA) and support

5.1. vCDN system uptime ≥ 99.9% per month on Standard; ≥ 99.99% on Enterprise.

5.2. Cache inconsistency incidents are resolved within 2 hours.

5.3. Compensation is proportional to uptime; see the SLA commitment in File 08.

PART IV - RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS

Article 6. HiTechCloud's rights and obligations

  • (a) Keep PoPs running reliably and expand capacity as required;
  • (b) Provide a Portal/API/Dashboard for the Customer to monitor traffic, cache hit rate, and access logs;
  • (c) Updating WAF signatures and bot management periodically;
  • (d) 24/7 technical support.

Article 7. Customer's rights and obligations

  • (a) Configure the origin correctly and keep the origin response under 2 seconds;
  • (b) Set appropriate cache control headers; manage purges when content is updated;
  • (c) Comply with the AUP (File 43): no CDN for unlawful, infringing or fraudulent content;
  • (d) Comply with the Advertising Law and the Intellectual Property Law.

PART V - FEES AND PAYMENT

Article 8. Service fees and payment

8.1. Charges are calculated as: traffic (GB egress) × the regional unit price + number of requests (per 10,000) + object storage cache capacity (if used).

8.2. Pricing tiers by monthly traffic (volume tiers); committed-use plans receive a discount.

8.3. The first 100 GB of egress per month is free for new customers.

PART VI - SECURITY AND COMPLIANCE

Article 9. Security, data, and legal compliance

9.1. TLS 1.2/1.3 is required for HTTPS; HSTS is supported.

9.2. Where personal data is processed through the CDN, the parties sign a DPA; HiTechCloud is the processor.

9.3. Access logs (IP anonymization optional) retained 30 days hot and 90 days cold.

PART VII - SUSPENSION, TERMINATION, AND EFFECT

Article 10. Suspension and termination

10.1. Immediate suspension upon detection of a CDN distributing CSAM, malware, or phishing content, or committing serious copyright infringement (DMCA notice repeat offender).

10.2. On termination: the default cache TTL is 24 hours; the Customer may purge earlier. Access logs are retained for 90 days after termination to support investigations.

Article 11. Effect and review

11.1. These terms take effect from 19/05/2026 and are reviewed in full at least once every 12 months, or whenever there is a material change in the law.

11.2. Any amendment or supplement must be approved by the Director of HiTechCloud and published on the hitechcloud.vn service portal at least 15 days before it takes effect, except in information security emergencies.

11.3. This clause forms an integral part of the Terms of Service (File 01) and supplements the applicable policies. In the event of a conflict, the Customer's specific Appendices/Order Forms take precedence for scope and configuration; this clause takes precedence for the SLA and the service's specific technical obligations.
