Shared Hosting Service Terms

PART I – SERVICE DESCRIPTION AND PLANS

Article 1. Shared hosting service description

1.1. Shared Hosting is a website hosting service in which multiple Customer accounts share hardware resources (CPU, RAM, disk I/O, bandwidth) on the same physical server or server cluster.

1.2. Technical characteristics of HiTechCloud shared hosting infrastructure:

(a) Servers: the latest generation of Dell PowerEdge with Intel Xeon Scalable processors;

(b) Storage: NVMe SSD drives in RAID-10 (capacity by plan);

(c) RAM: allocated by plan, on shared infrastructure with at least 256 GB of RAM per node;

(d) Connectivity: 10 Gbps uplink, integrated CDN, IPv4 + IPv6;

(e) Security: hardware firewall, ImunifyAV+, ModSecurity WAF and CSF Firewall;

(f) Control panel: cPanel/WHM or DirectAdmin (depending on plan).

Article 2. Shared Hosting plans and resources

– Shared Hosting service plans and resources are published on two primary websites: hitechcloud.vn and my.hitechcloud.vn

(*) “Unlimited” means there is no hard limit, but resources must be used in a manner consistent with normal website operation. Accounts with abnormal usage will be subject to the shared-resource provisions in Article 6.

PART II – CONDITIONS OF USE

Article 3. Technical requirements and compatibility

3.1. HiTechCloud Shared Hosting supports:

(a) Programming languages: PHP (7.4-8.5), Python (via CGI/WSGI), Node.js (on Business+ plans);

(b) Databases: MySQL 8.0, MariaDB 10.6, PostgreSQL (Professional+ plans);

(c) Common frameworks: Laravel, CodeIgniter, Symfony, CakePHP, Yii;

(d) CMS: WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento (Lite), PrestaShop;

(e) SSL: Let's Encrypt (free, auto-renewing) and DV/OV/EV (paid);

(f) Email: IMAP/POP3/SMTP, Webmail (Roundcube, Horde).

Article 4. Permitted content and activities

4.1. Customers are permitted to host and operate:

(a) Company brochure websites and e-commerce stores (Magento, WooCommerce);

(b) Blogs, information sites, forums (phpBB, MyBB) and news sites;

(c) Standard web applications with ordinary traffic levels;

(d) Business Email integrated with your domain.

Article 5. Prohibited content and activities

5.1. In addition to the conduct prohibited under Article 7 of the Terms of Service, the following is prohibited on Shared Hosting:

(a) Running continuous background processes (daemons, persistent background processes) outside cron;

(b) Cryptocurrency mining in any form;

(c) Operating anonymous proxy servers, VPNs or relay servers;

(d) Storing backup files from other servers, or using hosting as raw file storage;

(e) Distributing copyrighted software, torrent files or infringing streaming media;

(f) Bulk mailing not sent through a valid HiTechCloud email service;

(g) Running resource-intensive IRC, game or chat servers.

Article 6. Resource abuse policy

6.1. Because resources are shared, HiTechCloud applies the following protective limits:

6.2. Customers who sustain high resource usage will receive a warning email. If the situation is not resolved within 48 hours, HiTechCloud may suspend the account and require the Customer to upgrade their plan or move to Cloud Hosting or a VPS.

6.3. Throttling or suspension for exceeding resource limits does not count toward the downtime SLA.

PART III – DATA BACKUP AND RESTORE

Article 7. Backup policy

7.1. HiTechCloud performs automatic backups:

(a) Starter plan: weekly backup, the 2 most recent copies retained;

(b) Business plans and above: daily backup (02:00), the most recent 7 days retained;

(c) Backups are stored in a geographically separate data center (off-site backup).

7.2. IMPORTANT: HiTechCloud's backups are a technical contingency measure, not a guaranteed data backup service. The Customer is responsible for maintaining their own independent backups.

7.3. Restore from backup:

(a) Full account restore: free up to 2 times per month;

(b) Restoring a specific file or database: service fee of 100,000–300,000 VND per request;

(c) Emergency after-hours restore: service fee increased by 50%.

PART IV – SECURITY AND ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

Article 8. Hosting account security

8.1. HiTechCloud applies the following built-in security measures:

(a) ImunifyAV+: automatic malware scanning and removal, updated daily;

(b) ModSecurity WAF: a web application firewall using the OWASP CRS ruleset;

(c) ConfigServer Firewall (CSF): detects and blocks brute-force attempts and port scans;

(d) PHP hardening: dangerous PHP functions are disabled (exec, shell_exec, passthru, system);

(e) Account isolation: each account runs in an isolated environment (CageFS/CloudLinux).

8.2. The Customer's security responsibilities:

(a) Updating WordPress/CMS and plugins regularly;

(b) Use strong passwords (at least 12 characters, mixing upper and lower case, digits and special characters);

(c) Do not use nulled (cracked) themes or plugins from unverified sources;

(d) Reviewing and deleting unused files/scripts.

Article 9. Termination and service migration

9.1. When the Customer wants to migrate hosting:

(a) HiTechCloud provides free data export (cPanel backup / full account backup) within 30 days after expiry;

(b) The customer is responsible for migrating data to the new provider;

(c) Paid migration technical support: contact us for a quote.

9.2. After termination, data is permanently deleted within 30 days. It cannot be recovered after that point.
