IoT build and deployment services

Connecting devices is step one; keeping them running is the service

HiTechCloud builds complete IoT systems — from sensor and gateway connectivity to the data platform, alerting, dashboards and the cloud infrastructure that runs it long term.

Overview

An IoT system fails where few people look

Sensors are cheap and easy to buy. What stalls IoT projects after the pilot is everything the demo left out: devices dropping offline at midnight, months of accumulated data slowing queries, nobody knowing which units are down, and no way to update firmware on hundreds of installed devices.

HiTechCloud designs IoT systems with operations treated as equal to features: per-device health tracking, alerts on signal loss, proper time-series storage and a route for remote firmware updates.

Because servers, connectivity and security are services we already run, an IoT system is not stitched together from several vendors with you caught in the middle when it breaks.

Common problems

Why many IoT projects stall after the pilot

The pilot works, scaling breaks it

Ten devices run fine; at several hundred, the network, the queue and the database all have to be redesigned.

Data arrives but nobody uses it

Sensors stream readings continuously, but with no dashboard and no alert thresholds nobody reads them.

Devices never get updated

With no remote firmware update, every patch means a trip to the installation site.

Devices sit outside the security perimeter

Devices run default passwords over unencrypted links and become the easiest way into the system.

Services

The scope HiTechCloud takes on

Connecting devices and sensors

Selecting sensors, configuring gateways and connecting existing equipment over common industrial protocols.

Gateways and edge processing

Processing data on site to cut bandwidth and keep the system running when the internet drops.

Data collection platform

Ingesting, normalising and storing time-series data from thousands of devices with fast querying.

Dashboards and alerts

Real-time data visualisation, alert thresholds and notifications sent to the person responsible.

Device security

Per-device authentication, encrypted transport, network segmentation and role-based data access.

Device lifecycle management

Enrolment, status tracking, remote firmware updates and device replacement without an on-site visit.

Applications

The IoT problems HiTechCloud delivers on

  1. 01

    Factory and equipment monitoring

Tracking machine status, downtime and operating parameters by production shift.

  2. 02

    Energy monitoring

Metering power and water by zone and by device to find losses and cut running costs.

  3. 03

    Cold storage and cold chain

Continuous temperature and humidity monitoring with instant alerts and audit-ready logs.

  4. 04

    Smart agriculture

Environmental monitoring, irrigation control and data capture for traceability.

  5. 05

    Buildings and facilities

Monitoring power, water, lifts, cooling and safety alarms across the building.

  6. 06

    Fleet and asset management

Tracking location, journeys and mobile asset status, with alerts when assets leave the permitted area.

Design principles

The system has to survive into year three

IoT hardware is installed once and stays for years. The design has to allow maintenance, replacement and expansion without tearing it all out.

  • Each device has its own identity, with connection status and firmware version visible.
  • Remote firmware updates by group, with rollback if a new version misbehaves.
  • Historical data is kept at decreasing granularity, so storage costs do not grow without limit.
  • An API-open system that integrates with the management software you already run.
Process

From field survey to live operations

  1. 01

    Field survey

Identifying measurement points, environmental conditions, available networking and power at each installation site.

  2. 02

    Design and trial

Choosing sensors, gateways and protocols, and running a trial in one area to prove the data is reliable.

  3. 03

    Full-scale rollout

Bulk installation, device enrolment, alert configuration and operator training.

  4. 04

    Run and grow

Monitoring device health, handling faults, pushing firmware updates and adding measurement points as needs emerge.

Connected urban infrastructure over a wireless network
How it is delivered

The link is chosen from the site, not from a default

Devices in a plant, on a vehicle and out in a field face completely different signal conditions. We survey first and only then fix the protocol and the transport.

  • An on-site signal survey before choosing LoRaWAN, 4G or cable.
  • The gateway holds data at the edge when the link drops and sends it once restored.
  • Data transmission costs are worked out in advance for the intended scale.
Customers

Who this service is for

Manufacturers who want to monitor equipment

  • Machines span several generations and vendors, and the data has never been pooled.
  • You need to know when a machine stopped and why.
  • You want to start with one line and expand from there.

Operators of distributed infrastructure

  • Pump stations, cold stores or electrical cabinets are spread across sites.
  • Checks currently mean sending someone out on a schedule.
  • Alerts need to reach the on-call person the moment a threshold is crossed.

Hardware product companies

  • You have the device but no platform to collect and manage the data.
  • You need remote firmware updates after the product ships.
  • You want infrastructure in Vietnam for lower latency and cost.
FAQ

FAQ

Does the system keep running without internet?

Yes, if the design includes a gateway or edge server on site. Data is buffered locally, local alerts keep working, and everything syncs to the cloud once the link returns.

Does HiTechCloud supply the hardware too?

We advise on hardware suited to the problem and the site conditions, work with the suppliers, and take responsibility for connectivity, platform and infrastructure. You can also buy the hardware yourselves to the agreed specification.

Where is IoT data stored, and for how long?

On HiTechCloud's cloud in a Vietnamese data centre. Retention is tiered: detailed data for a few months, aggregates for years — so costs do not grow without limit.

Can it integrate with our existing software?

Yes. The platform exposes APIs and webhooks to push data and alerts into your ERP, maintenance software or reporting system.
