Server management

Server management is one of HI-TECH CLOUD's professional services. We provide server management and maintenance for customers through a team of experienced, highly skilled engineers. HI-TECH CLOUD's professional service lets customers manage and operate their VPS or server efficiently and securely without needing IT staff of their own. HI-TECH CLOUD personnel take on the work end to end, including installation, configuration, website migration, security, backup, troubleshooting and server optimization. Server management saves customers time, cost and effort while improving server performance and reliability.

The server administration service is available only for VPS/servers leased from HI-TECH CLOUD. This ensures that HI-TECH CLOUD has the access required to work on the server when necessary and can deliver effective technical support. To use HI-TECH CLOUD's server administration service, you must lease a VPS or server from HI-TECH CLOUD and select the service package that matches your requirements.

This service applies only to Linux-kernel operating systems such as CentOS and Ubuntu/Debian; the operating systems supported depend on the software installed on the server.

We will help you install popular control panels such as DirectAdmin, cPanel, aaPanel, CWP, and FastPanel, so you can manage your server easily and effectively. We will also install caching software such as Memcached and Redis to boost your website's speed and performance.
If you need other software installed, you can contact HI-TECH CLOUD technical support for advice and assistance. We will review your request and decide whether the installation is possible.
Note that free software installation is provided once only, at the start of the service. If you want software reinstalled, an additional fee of VND 1,500,000 per instance applies. That fee covers both the reinstallation and the data backup and restore.
(*) For control panels such as DirectAdmin, cPanel and similar, you need to buy the corresponding license separately. You can buy genuine licenses from HI-TECH CLOUD at competitive prices.

When you use the server administration service, HI-TECH CLOUD retains root access and the customer manages data on the server through the software's web interface.

Depending on the plan you choose, we provide migration support for a live website or fresh installation of a set number of WordPress sites (not including plugin and theme configuration). If you want to migrate or install more sites than the plan allows, an additional fee of VND 300,000/website/month applies.

Server management is a professional service that helps customers maintain and secure their servers. One of its key tasks is reconfiguring ports and setting firewall rules so that only legitimate connections reach the server, which helps keep intruders and attackers out. However, server management does not include DDoS protection configuration — DDoS being an attack that overwhelms a server with millions of forged requests. If you are hit by a DDoS attack, contact the service's engineers for advice and support so the situation can be handled thoroughly and appropriately.

If you need the operating system on your server reinstalled, please contact our technical team for advice and support. We will carry out the following steps:
- Back up the customer's website on the current server.
- Reinstall the operating system and a new control panel as the customer requires.
- Reinstall the software the website needs to run normally.
- Restore the website from a backup.
