What are LIR, NIR and RIR?

A platform for running a professional internet network

LIR is a Local Internet Registry: typically a carrier, ISP or infrastructure operator that is allocated Internet number resources and manages them for its customers or its own systems.

NIR is a National Internet Registry, an organization that manages Internet resources at national or territorial level within a regional policy framework.

RIR is a Regional Internet Registry; regional organizations such as APNIC, RIPE NCC, ARIN, AFRINIC and LACNIC are responsible for allocating IPv4, IPv6 and ASN resources in their respective regions of the world.

Working correctly with the Registry ecosystem gives a business a clear foundation for network resources, routing, international expansion and compliance when deploying digital infrastructure.

Value delivered

Clear, stable network infrastructure that is ready to grow

  • Transparent resources: IP, ASN, route and technical contact information managed to standard.
  • Higher reliability: redundant routing design reduces the service's dependence on any single path.
  • Performance optimization: choose the carrier, IDC, peering and network routes that suit your target user base.
  • IPv6 ready: build a transition roadmap and roll out IPv6 for new or existing systems.
  • Technical partnership: HiTechCloud advises, deploys, tests and supports operations over the long term.
