ESG & Sustainability

Efficient digital infrastructure is sustainable infrastructure

Every server that no longer sits idle in an office server room is electricity saved. HiTechCloud builds its services around that principle, and ties growth to responsibility for people and governance.

HiTechCloud's ESG across our operating milestones

These are the standards and targets currently applied in our operations, not independently audited figures.

  • Tier III The data center standard our infrastructure runs on
  • 24/7 Monitoring of infrastructure, power, cooling and information security
  • Net Zero 2050 The national target our infrastructure roadmap follows
  • 100% Contracts, invoices and support processes handled on a digital platform
  • 0 Customer data breaches recorded and disclosed
Commitment

ESG is not a separate program, it is how the service is designed

HiTechCloud is an infrastructure provider: cloud computing, data centers, GPUs for AI, storage, networking and security. The biggest environmental impact we have is not in our office operations, but in how efficiently the infrastructure of thousands of businesses is run.

Our ESG focus is therefore hardware utilization, data center quality, equipment life cycle and the level of resources a customer genuinely needs. Alongside that sit the other two pillars: a team that is properly developed, and a transparent way of working with customers, partners and regulators.

HiTechCloud's roadmap follows Vietnam's target of carbon neutrality by 2050 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Highlights

A foundation of security and compliance

Operating to ISO/IEC 27001

HiTechCloud's information security management processes are built on the ISO/IEC 27001 framework: information asset classification, access control, incident management and periodic risk assessment.

Compliance with Vietnamese data law

Our services are designed to meet Decree 13/2023/ND-CP (Nghị định 13/2023/NĐ-CP) on personal data protection and the Law on Cyber Information Security (Luật An toàn thông tin mạng), including in-country data storage and security commitments written into the contract.

Environment

More efficient technology, fewer resources consumed

Sustainability at an infrastructure provider starts with a very concrete question: how much hardware and how much electricity does each unit of a customer's work need in order to run.

Shared infrastructure instead of idle servers

Virtualization and cloud computing let many workloads share the same hardware layer. A business can retire its own server room full of underused servers, while hardware in the data center is used at a far higher rate of utilization.

Energy-efficient data centers

The infrastructure sits in an Uptime Tier III certified data center with professional cooling, power distribution and PUE monitoring — something a self-built office server room almost never achieves.

Provisioning to real demand

Auto scaling, snapshots and hourly configuration changes mean customers pay for — and draw power for — only the resources they actually use, instead of over-buying just in case.

Extending hardware life

Servers are maintained, upgraded component by component and moved to lighter workloads before retirement. End-of-life equipment is securely wiped and handed to a recycling partner.

Paperless operations

Service sign-up, contracts, e-invoices, support tickets and technical handover are all handled on the portal. Customers do not have to print, sign and courier paperwork for every service change.

In step with Net Zero 2050

HiTechCloud gives preference to data centers and suppliers that have a renewable energy roadmap, in line with Vietnam's commitment to carbon neutrality by 2050.

Social

Responsibility starts with our team and our smallest customers

An infrastructure provider reaches many businesses at the hardest stage they will go through. How we treat those customers, and the team on system duty, is the most substantive social part of ESG.

Workplace and team development
  • Hiring and evaluation are based on technical ability, regardless of gender, age or background.
  • Engineers are supported in taking vendor certifications in infrastructure, cloud and information security.
  • 24/7 shifts are rotated with compensating time off, so night duty does not become a long-term burden.
Support for small businesses and startups
  • The Startup program offers infrastructure discounts to early-stage teams, at the point where server costs are a real barrier.
  • Service packages are broken down by configuration so even micro businesses can reach standards-compliant infrastructure.
  • Free architecture and cost optimization consultation during the assessment phase, with no obligation to sign a contract.
Sharing technical knowledge
  • Guides, technical articles and pricing are published openly on the website so anyone can look them up.
  • Helping students, lecturers and research groups access cloud and GPU resources for study purposes.
  • Sharing operations, incident response and migration experience in sessions with the technical community.
Responsibility to the community
  • Priority infrastructure support for non-profits, education projects and community healthcare.
  • Taking part in charity and disaster relief activities proposed by our own staff.
  • No services for fraud, illegal gambling or the distribution of unlawful content.

Management

Transparent, accountable and secure operations

Customers hand HiTechCloud the infrastructure their business runs on. Good governance is therefore not a statement, but terms, processes and commitments that can be checked.

Transparency with customers
  • Pricing, billing cycles and service terms are published openly on the website.
  • SLA commitments and compensation are set out clearly in the contract, not buried in a hard-to-find annex.
  • Infrastructure incidents are reported to the affected customers along with the cause and the remedial action.
Information security and data protection
  • Role-based access control, encryption of data in transit and at rest, and access logging on administration systems.
  • Compliance with Decree 13/2023/ND-CP (Nghị định 13/2023/NĐ-CP) on personal data protection; customer data is stored in Vietnam.
  • Backups, restore testing and disaster recovery plans are reviewed periodically.
  • Staff with system access must sign a confidentiality commitment and have their permissions reviewed on a set cycle.
Business standards
  • We do not use customer information for any purpose beyond the scope of the contract.
  • Compliance with domain registration rules, website notification to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and related legal obligations.
  • The Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is applied consistently, including to large customers.
Partner and supplier relationships
  • Data centers, hardware suppliers and software vendors are chosen on technical capability and service commitments.
  • Official partnerships with technology vendors are publicly announced and verifiable.
  • A reseller policy that is transparent about discounts, support scope and each party's responsibilities.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions about ESG

Does moving systems to the cloud really cut energy consumption?

In most cases yes, for two reasons: a server in an office server room usually runs at very low load but still draws power and cooling all day, whereas a professional data center runs hardware at much higher utilization with power and cooling systems designed for efficiency. The actual saving depends on each business's current setup and needs to be assessed before any conclusion.

Does HiTechCloud publish an annual ESG report?

This page sets out the commitments and operating principles currently in place. A business that needs detailed figures for its own sustainability report can contact us to discuss the scope of information HiTechCloud can provide for your systems.

Where is our company data stored?

Customer data is stored on infrastructure in data centers in Vietnam. For systems that need an international presence, the storage location is agreed in the contract before deployment.

How does HiTechCloud handle end-of-life hardware?

Equipment is maintained and moved to lighter workloads to extend its life. On retirement, drives are securely wiped following a set procedure before the equipment goes to a collection and recycling partner.

Can we get help assessing the impact of an infrastructure migration?

Yes. Our technical team helps assess the current state of your systems, estimate the resources needed after migration and propose options that optimize both cost and resource consumption.
