Day 20/12/2024, the Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) held a conference to brief participants on legal regulations and đtraining fornhà đăng ký“.vn” domains and international domain registrars in Vietnam in 2024,to disseminate and provide guidanceunderstand and apply the legal requirements for providing domain registration and renewal servicesin Decree No. 147/2024/NĐ-CP dated 09/11/2024.Thông through conferences, VNNICalsodiscussed the current state of domain registration and management at the Registrars, and answered the Registrars' questions and comments concerning the legal requirements and their practical operational implementation, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
The conference was held in person atVNNIC branch inHo Chi Minh City, with online sessions at the Hanoi and Da Nang locations, attended by VNNIC leadership and by the managers and staff responsible for Vietnam's national “.vn” domain and for international domains in Vietnam at the registrars.

At the 2024 Legal Regulations Briefing Conference, VNNIC representatives explained and provided guidance on implementing Decree No. 147/2024/NĐ-CP on the management and provision of registration services for Vietnam's national “.vn” domain and for international domains in Vietnam, to ensure the relevant work was in place from the date the Decree took effect (25 December 2024). VNNIC representatives also answered registrars' questions about implementing Decree No. 147/2024/NĐ-CP, helping “.vn” registrars and international domain registrars in Vietnam understand the legal requirements correctly.
Also as part of the conference, VNNIC delivered professional training for registrars of Vietnam's national “.vn” domain and for international domain registrars operating in Vietnam. VNNIC reviewed the general state of domain management, registration and use in Vietnam that registrars should be aware of; ran training on managing international domains in Vietnam and on the International Domain System 2.0; and ran training on managing the national “.vn” domain, covering registration records, data, preferential domain registration and exceptional cases. On that basis, VNNIC set out its registrar inspection and supervision activities for 2024 and its direction for 2025, with the aim of ensuring registrars comply with the relevant legal requirements.
